Superman : Reboot
YAY! Finally! I dislike Superman Returns a great deal, it was a missed opportunity and was wrong on almost every level. Warner Bros has confirmed to "re-introduce" Superman in the next movie, that means a reboot. But please be wary because WB said to approach Superman in a dark and brooding tone, similar to The Dark Knight.

I think Superman should be bright and fun, not as heavy as The Dark Knight. Let's hope they get it right this time and be more creative on showcasing Superman's power... enough with "Superman lifts everything!"

The Dark Knight
It's been six months since my last post, a friend had been constantly reminding me to put some update to indicate that this website is still alive (thanks Phil!). so here i am with some news. I'm fine and very much alive, been busy with works. Haven't done any new artworks lately, the majority of them were left unfinished, but i promise someday i'll have them done.

And i've seen The Dark Knight last Sunday. I regretted my decision because the theater was full of parents who brought their kids. And one of those things i hate very much is kids in theater! They constantly talked, asked question or couldn't sit still. I usually when to see movie on weekdays, when everybody's working or going to school.

Apart from that, The Dark Knight is an excellent movie. Never before i've seen a "comic book" movie treated with such maturity in theme (Okay, Iron man too in a lesser degree). It is no longer just a comic book movie, but an action thriller with smart storytelling and darker tone. Christopher Nolan has win my respect with each and more of his movies.

PRINTS!
I've been receiving quite a lot of emails, asking to buy prints of some of my works. I'm considering to produce a limited number for the requested artworks. Since i live in Indonesia and the shipping cost to another countries would be a bit costly, i'm thinking of finding some "business partners" abroads to help with the distribution.

JLA postponed!
JLA The Movie would be the ultimate superhero adaptation on the big screen (the other being The Avengers - or The Ultimates). But with the rumored crappy casts with no gravitas, i'm glad it is finally postponed. Let's hope that when they decide to pick up the project again, they will do a re-cast with "grown-ups".

Their War, Our Money
The real summer movie has arrived in the form of transforming robots. I saw Transformers a couple of days ago and i like it very much. Sure, there wasn't much about the story and it's a typical Michael Bay's movie, loud with over-stylish editing, but Bay surely knows how to handle actions. The Autobots vs Decepticons near the end of the movie was a non-stop action scenes with almost flawless CGI. I'm going to see it again soon.
