Once a soldier, once a priest, now an unstoppable
madman bend on revenge to wipe out the entire crime syndicates -
too "Punisher" huh? except for that "priest"
thing.
I love character dressed in trenchcoat, it’s just something
cool and badass about that. This character has been developed many
times during my sketches sessions. The very first incarnation was
a bald assassin with scarf covering half of his face and been evolving
ever since until it ended up looking like this. The “white
cross” paint on the mask was added to emphasive religious
background of the character.
This was started first with pencil - it's been a long long time
since i really sat down and draw. All this time, those "old
school" methods of creating artworks have been replaced by
a mouse (i wish i have a tablet). The coloring and finishing touch
were still done on computer though. The doves were last minutes
additions, thought it would provide contradiction to the whole violence
themes - John Woo style.
I’ve been thinking of several names for him, from “Doc
Morbid” (don’t laugh) to “The
Priest™” (don’t laugh too), and have decided
to settle with the last one. If it still sounds ridiculous, don’t
blame me, i’m basically suck at naming things.
Oh, i also made it available to purchase at CafePress.com.
It's a hi-res large poster, 23" x 35".
Imagine your friends coming to your room and spot something different
among those renowned artists works. It's time to show them your
distinguish collection of posters. Or in short, please help out
a fellow artist to make a living!
