A different take at my "Look
to the Sky" artwork.
It consists of elements done separately, The building, the Globe,
the people and the Man of Steel.
Everything were done from the scratch using some reference pics,
including the Daily Planet building and the globe. To achieve a
hi-res quality, it was built "pixel by pixel", a long
and exhausted process - i almost have zero knowledge of 3D softwares
and the one i used to operate was kind of 'ancient' by today standard,
not to mention i had already forgot how it works. I traced the reference
photo in CorelDraw, creating blockings, added few elements here
and there and finished it in Photoshop.
The sky was a collage of photographs i took with my digital camera.
I waited for 3 or 4 days before i can get a clear sky because it
has been raining a lot recently.
The people looking up were completely over-painted and modified
from some photos i found at Corbis
and Getty
Images. I'm not really satisfied with the end result. Maybe
i should ask some volunteers to pose as models.
Speaking of volunteers, i shamelessly inserted myself into the
artwork, i couldn't resist the chance. The skinny guy with the newspaper,
that's me...
And here's a closer look at the detail, scaled down to 1:2 of the
original size:
